Sedaj ko je športna javnost pretresena z afero o dopingu v ameriški atletiki, podlegel je še britanski šprinter me zanimajo informacije o tej substanci (TETRAHIDROGESTRINOM – THG)

Nekoč je nekdo na tem forumu pisal nekaj o steroidih, mislim da je bil to nek moderator nekega fitnes foruma.

No ker je tud mene zanimalo zakaj gre… sem šel na hitro pogledat…
Gre za “designed AS” – kar pomeni da so ga mal priredili in je bil do nedavnega nezaznaven z doping testi… zdej so nardil metodo s katerim tud THG najdejo in verjetno bo žalostno k bojo pregledal še enkrat urin sample iz nedavnih športnih tekmovanj (Pariz – atletika)…

Samo delovanje pa kot ostali AS + to da se ga ni dalo odkrit…

Factbox on steroid tetrahydrogestrinone (THG), the drug at the centre of the latest doping scandal to hit sport.

The world governing athletics body announced on Tuesday it would re-test all urine samples from the Paris world championships in August after the discovery in the US of the previously undetectable drug.

1. Tetrahydrogestrinone is a specially designed anabolic steroid which has been tweaked by chemists to make it undetectable under normal testing.

A high-profile coach sent a syringe of THG to the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) who have now developed a test for the previously undetectable drug.

Montreal, October 21, 2003 – The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) announced today that the method of detection for the designer steroid tetrahydrogestrinone (THG) has been communicated to all International Olympic Committee (IOC)/WADA accredited laboratories throughout the world. The test for detecting THG was developed and distributed by the laboratory headed by Professor Don Catlin at the University of California, Los Angeles. The test will shortly be a part of regular doping screening conducted by all accredited laboratories.
